意味: 引き裂く、破る、破れる

smother のもとの意味は「（呼吸を妨げて）窒息させる」なので、口を覆って笑いを抑えている様子が目に浮かびますね 🤭
stomp（足を踏み鳴らす）

意味: 足を踏み鳴らす、荒々しく歩く

２つ目の文は、
「ハーマイオニーは階段をドスドスと上がりながら、ハリーの手にある包みを不満そうに見ていた。」という意味になります 🤔
「looking disapprovingly 〜」以降は現在分詞（looking）を使った分詞構文です。
「stomping」と同時に起きている動作を表しています。
- in Harry’s hand = ハリーの手にある
- looking = 見ながら（分詞構文）
- disapprovingly = 不満そうに
- at the package = 包みを
校則を破ることに厳しかった頃のハーマイオニーだね😅
trudge（重い足取りで歩く）
